HOW TO PLAY:

Try to clear the required numbers of gems of each color before your turns run out to advance to the next level!

All 5 of a kind matches give +1 turn.

Match 3, 4 or 5 gems for 3, 8 or 15 gems of that color, match 3,4 or 5 Rainbow tiles to get 2,5 or 8 of each gem color.

Match 3, 4, or 5 Stars to explode 2, 4 or 6 random gems for 4 points each.

Match 3, 4 or 5 Clovers to transform 4, 7 or 10 random Sun, Moon, Star or Clover tiles into gems.

Match 3, 4 or 5 Sun or Moon tiles to advance the Fall Direction Indicator 3, 8 or 15 spaces clockwise(sun) or counterclockwise(moon)

  • TheBossMan: 622 was my score ):
  • dOUBLEbAD: @iQuartz: I'll be looking forward to it
  • iQuartz: @dOUBLEbAD: good point, I'm trying to build a adventure level called Wires Adventure: The Lab
  • dOUBLEbAD: @iQuartz: neither do I but I still build stuff, check out some of my and others levels if you'd like more ideas
  • dOUBLEbAD: @iQuartz: neither do I but I still build stuff, check out some of my and others levels if you'd like more ideas
  • iQuartz: Lua*
  • iQuartz: @dOUBLEbAD: wow thanks! Unfortunately I dont know Lia script though :(
  • dOUBLEbAD: @iQuartz: oh yeah, it is true. You can make many kinds of things and with the luascript added it makes creativity nearly boundless. I recommend learning the pieces through observing other's levels and experimenting on your own. If you truly can not find an answer, we have a great community that is willing to help. Good luck in your future builds :)
  • iQuartz: Wow! I don't know you could make things like that on principia!
  • Linux: 1 turn away
  • sjoerd19992: Wow, much wow!
  • Linux: @zardOz: where have you been
  • Golden: Plus it can make easier if u add options like disable or enable tile rotations when rotated, and I can recode it to saga game ;)
  • Golden: Well that's a lot of comments
  • Linux: @BobMonkeypimp: yes
  • BobMonkeypimp: @Linux: Are you sure?
  • Linux: @BobMonkeypimp: I'm very happy
  • BobMonkeypimp: @zardOz: Some people are just never happy.
  • zardOz2: @Linux: its part of the puzzle to pick the moves which will prevent board lock if possible, also to try to complete a color fast so you can avoid it from adding more...
  • Linux: @zardOz: ?
  • Linux: @zardOz: the board lock gets annoying adding gems requirements
  • Linux: @zardOz: if I get the application for free then I will market btw
  • Linux: @zardOz: if I get the application for free then I will market btw
  • zardOz2: @Linux: ) actually it already does that on a board lock... each level is identical except for the gems required, no point in level selection it would only decrease your score. Ill try to work on this tomorrow for derivitives... I was trying to remake it all but I lost interest
  • Linux: @zardOz: a few suggestions when the board gets locked or changes direction it adds mor e requirements for uncompleted gems, :(, no deratives and a level selection screen could be quite nice, and ps, I like deratives cause I learn how the code works, and I can monkey around with it.
  • zardOz2: @Linux: I'm thinking a 19.95 price point;)
  • Linux: @zardOz: if only you made this an andriod app I would download it
  • Linux: @zardOz: best score for me
  • walton101: @zardOz: you created a brilliant game. Thjs shouod be featured
  • zardOz2: @walton101: MarkB60 pulls ahead!
    nice score @MarkB60: !
I'm starting from scratch btw so this score list will be up for awhile...
  • walton101: @zardOz: sorry mate. Level 6.95
  • walton101: Haha all this talk about high scores. Check this...
  • zardOz2: @BobMonkeypimp: 1237! ;) level 7... and a 1/2
  • BobMonkeypimp: @walton101: 1077 !
  • Chad64: @walton101: Oh, you got a 720. Nicccceeeee
    @zardOz: Close enough.
  • walton101: @Chad64: noscope 3 for 1 next to mine mate
  • walton101: @Chad64: testosterone tablets that destroy gems on the board of course.
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: T for testosterone)
  • Chad64: @walton101: and those power-ups? Pink upside-down T's.
  • walton101: @Chad64: @zardOz: basically this game has huge potential. E.g powerups that drop into the board that can be matched with anything
  • Chad64: @walton101: if you saw my highscore before it was updated you will see a very tiny word saying "noscope mlg" next to my score.
  • walton101: @Chad64: no pun intended...
  • Chad64: @walton101: That's too hard for zardOz ;3
  • walton101: @Chad64: i got 1200 but thats gone with the wind
  • walton101: @Chad64: i think there should be a chaos bonus round where giant penis's fly in and you have to dodge them for bonus points...
  • Chad64: Oh wait. Wow. I just got that 360 score and now you updated it. -_-
  • Chad64: Can you make a shuffle option/button which takes away 20 points from you and let's the board shuffle?
  • Chad64: @zardOz: :0
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: can I... yes, will I... no) all you get is a multiplier heh
  • Chad64: That was just a suggestion*
  • Chad64: Lol bows tity. Can you add something that when matched 3 in a row, explodes 5x5, shuffles board or destroys random tiles with electricity?
  • zardOz2: @walton101: oh no I don't think I want any time constraints, but I do appreciate the suggestions...
  • Ahmad Khaled: @zardOz: oh sorry sorry I didn't think of it .
    But nice system of playing.
  • zardOz2: @Ahmad Khaled: heh. its tyty... thank you thank you
  • Ahmad Khaled: Bows tity
    What's. That?
  • walton101: @zardOz: its ok man, could you add a score multiplier for consequetive matches in a set time limit. E.g 5 matches gets x2 score, if you get each match within say 1 second of each other.
  • zardOz2: @walton101: well I updated the sound and graphics bugs Im aware of..., I I don't play I wont find any bugs! Sorry your score gets wipied
  • walton101: @zardOz: i must of missed that one indeed. I have to admit i was very lucky on 2 occasions getting to level 5 and 6.
  • zardOz2: @walton101: no problem beating me I have to update some audio/graphics bugs... I did add points for extra moves at the end of level, you must have missed it
  • walton101: @zardOz: you should also get extra points at the end of each level for unused moves. Like a reward for clearing in less moves
  • JOELwindows7: Whoah, Duper Awesome update
  • walton101: @zardOz: also another "player reward" could be to add on unused moves from previous levels
  • walton101: @zardOz: sorry mate i know the creator shouldnt be beaten at his own game but...
  • Chad64: @zardOz: By what I said, I meant all the tetsu's should turn to ZardOz's at the front page. :3
  • zardOz2: @Linux: 3rd times the charm... lots of new bugs to find it seems
  • zardOz2: @Linux: I could do that but it would be a major pain to add at this point, I made the directionality first and built on top of that
  • Linux: @zardOz: liked
  • Linux: @zardOz: also still loving it
  • Linux: @zardOz: could you make it do yo can move diagonaly and make a thing like jelly in candy crush were you have to match pieces need it to break the jelly and in order to win that level you must clear all of it, and a lives system
  • zardOz2: @Linux: oh sorry, im not ready for that... good news is I just made it way more fun with power-up upgrades and score multiplier
@JOELwindows7: thanks man) new high score list is up
    @Ahmad Khaled: bows tyty
@BobMonkeypimp: ty sir, I went all out on this... wouldnt let myself slack on the details)
    @walton101: keeping it up;)
@Chad64: no need to put away tetsu, he's awesome... wish he would do non-construction stuff tho
  • Linux: @zardOz: yeah i just want it for my car ride tommorw, its eally fun
  • JOELwindows7: @zardOz: alright, this is great!
  • zardOz2: @JOELwindows7: ill open it up after I finish the final version and fix up the code to be user friendly, about a week
  • JOELwindows7: If only eveyone noticed it.
    Duper Awesome!, Allow Derivatives!!!
  • zardOz2: @Linux: give me another wekk to finish and fix the code, its all shorthand
  • Linux: @zardOz: open source please?!?
  • Ahmad Khaled: Genius
  • Chad64: @zardOz: :0
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: sorry nad to fix a big bug, scores reset
  • Chad64: Put away all the tetsu's and turn them all to zardOz!!! :D
  • Chad64: Reached level 2, I'm proud of myself. :D
  • BobMonkeypimp: Once again @zardOz: you have surpassed yourself. I hope it gets pride of place on the front page.
  • walton101: @zardOz: ill have a go when i get some spare time. Tile clone is epic. Keep it up man
  • zardOz2: @walton101: scoring is online
  • zardOz2: @walton101: yeah im gonna put a score thing back up soon, as for learning programming, everything I know is from making my levels and trial and error... you can do it and not be totally bored reading books and taking classes
  • walton101: I wish i could be bothered learning programming. My head is full of ideas :(
  • walton101: @zardOz: level 2 :( future leaderboard maybe? Fantastic game, have a look at bejeweled blitz for furture updates/improvements
  • Chad64: @zardOz: you sure are a wizzerd.
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: heh, level 5 is my best in testing
  • Chad64: Primo Content FTW
  • Chad64: Oh and yay I'm Mr second. :D
  • Chad64: OH CMON 8 RED GEMS LEFT ALMOST WON.
  • zardOz2: @Sdac: @Rom1k: you boys still lurking about? I have some primo content for ya, hows about a highlight?;) Also this level http://principiagame.com/level/16344 from Demon666 is also worthy
  • zardOz2: @Coolblocks749: doh cant get the screenshot working( enjoy Mr. First
  • Coolblocks749: First to final version. I feel special.
  • walton101: @zardOz: plays well now mate, cant find any other bugs. Later levels should have bombs what you have to match up, bombs could have move count timers, e.g 10 moves and the blow up. This game has endless possibilities is what i am trying to say. Great work.
  • that guy2: @zardOz: and maybe also stop adding that gem through falling replenishment/clover conversion/whatnot?
  • zardOz2: @that guy: me neither, I'm gonna tweak it tonight and make it multi-levels, level 1 will be 15 gems each and I'm gonna get it so when you 0 out a gem it won't add 5 on a board lock
  • that guy2: either this is really hard or I just suck at it... I can't win...
  • Johnsinna: @zardOz: :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D;):D:D:D:D:D:D
  • Chad64: Another ZarCade Vol. !! YAAYYYYYYY
  • zardOz2: @walton101: 5 of a kind now gives a bonus turn for all types
  • zardOz2: @that guy: ok hints are up
  • zardOz2: @that guy: good thinking
  • that guy2: hmm... if you can detect when there are no moves... maybe a hint function?
  • ElementalGenius98: @zardOz: I hope I can play one of your games soon ;) I also worked a bit with c# but this was one of those hobby projects you do for a few weeks and then suddenly stop :D

I know a youtub channel called "brackeys" the CEO of the company makes VERY great C# and Javascript tutorials maybe have a look there? :o

Good luck with your project I look forward to play one of your games someday ^^
  • zardOz2: @ElementalGenius98: thanks eg, high praise indeed) I guess I am working towards that, however I'm moving at a snails pace... I run a family business and transition would not be a simple matter. I do have some programs I have yet to start working with and a big fat C+ book ( on page 3) let me know if you're hiring;)
  • ElementalGenius98: @zardOz: I've got 1 question ...

Why didn't you make your very own apps?
I know you and your stuff since I started playing principia and like you It is a looooong time remember the times without LUA? :D

I just want to say your work is so goddamn awesome!
why don't you just download UNITY or something similar and start making your own great apps? (you can make ads for principia too :p)

Or do you already work as a programmer? :o
  • zardOz2: @walton101: no idea on that kind of stuff, probably can but other people wont have it and it will crash them probably
  • walton101: @zardOz: on a totally unrelated note, do you know if you can edit the sound effects in the SFX box? Like for example go into game files and change the sound files?
  • zardOz2: @walton101: agreed, thank you for bugging me about it;)
  • walton101: @zardOz: nice work that would of been an awful bug to leave in this frankly epic game.
  • zardOz2: @walton101: well I might do something like that for the clovers, not sure yet... I did figure out a way to solve the second finger problem, it now just cancels the first finger drag
  • walton101: @zardOz Matching 5 of one icon should clear the board of all them icons, as its rare to get a 5 match. Just an idea
  • Breckinator: I could be a beta tester.
  • LemonHeroman: @zardOz: really? Cuz Bejeweled 2 has endless mode..?
  • Chad64: This was my first time being a beta tester. :3 Oh, happy me. :D
Anyways I saw a quick screen saying board locked. Was that supposed to happen? And I made the sun rotate the screen as this happened, just for further investigation.
  • Chad64: @LemonHeroman: It will be pretty much like a game called "Give Up".
  • Johnsinna: @zardOz: Good thing its fixed
  • Johnsinna: @zardOz: No more moves:(
  • zardOz2: @JOELwindows7: thx, still very hard, it will be easier when i add the stars and clover effects
  • JOELwindows7: Overall, it's working, Duper Awesome!
  • zardOz2: @LemonHeroman: oh lol, well im not sure that qualifies as a "game"
  • LemonHeroman: @zardOz: when the user presses end game.
  • zardOz2: @LemonHeroman: then whats the game over condition? and thx)
  • LemonHeroman: It would be nice to have a level without a turn limit.. and it works pretty nice so far!
  • zardOz2: @LemonHeroman: @Coolblocks749: @Ahmad Khaled: @that guy: @Chad64: @Golden: @walton101: @Colossus: @Johnsinna: @Demon666: Ok game is mostly finished, I need me some play testers before the final finishing touches!)
  • zardOz2: @walton101: I doubt there will be unless one of the devs shows IP and teaches me how) you can re-tap the screen to make the prices reappear
  • walton101: @zardOz: still no fix for the multi touch issue?
  • Chad64: Gave up on 112.
  • Demon666: interesting find lol
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: apparently _G is an automatically created table of all global variables so you have to be able to call them by name... whew so glad I found that, our lag options are far greater now
  • Demon666: hmmm i didnt think you could create variables like that. different language different rules lol
  • zardOz2: @Johnsinna: thx for the report
  • Johnsinna: @zardOz: Yup
    All gone
  • zardOz2: Alright! Lag is annihilated, 60fps on phone
  • zardOz2: Alright! Lag is annihilated, 60fps on phone
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: got it,
    for i=1,1991 do _G["c" .. i]=nil end
...so after each import image put this to reduce lag,
    colors=nil j=nil c=nil for i=1,1991 do _G["c" .. i]=nil end
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: nevermind thats a fail too
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: im gonna enclose the c1,c1991 in a table and nil it that way;) just gotta adjust the translator a bit
  • Demon666: i dont think there is. all the variables are independent so you cant really accuses them with a loop
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: there's gotta be a way to combine c and a number... They did it for the translator itself I think(
  • Demon666: i see. unfortunately because they are all independent variables the only way to nil them all is the manual way lol. if paljada made the "c" variables into a 3d table then it would be so much easier.
  • zardOz2: @demon666: ok got a problem need some help, the import image is holding 1991 color tables... c1={0,0,0,0}:c2={}... and I need a way to nil them all, my efforts so far are fail
  • zardOz2: grr, this damn lag is killing me, wtf My code is sound and Im running 24fps on my phone, (smashes something)
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: ;)
  • Chad64: And now that I realize it, your name is missing a Wi.
  • Chad64: @zardOz: Oh
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: the no moves shuffle will be game over;)
  • Chad64: And if you dare to.. Try making an automated shuffle whenever there's no moves left..

.. Or just make a shuffle button on the side that can only be used 3 times.
  • Chad64: YOUR'E A WIZZERD.
  • zardOz2: @Ahmad Khaled: thanks, still some very strange things going on, usually I can figure out the problem in no time... Now that I got this fixed I should be able to do the rest by this sunday
  • Ahmad Khaled: Amazing
  • zardOz2: @Colossus:thx, right and upward fall are broken it seems... im totally stuck on it, the sprites are the easy part) see hi res explosion level
@The_Blacksmith_: thx, the score is just there for testing at the moment)
  • Colossus: Nice! I've never seen sprites that good out of LUA yet!
  • The_Blacksmith_: I got a score of 306! LIKE!
  • zardOz2: @walton101: oh lol, I would suggest not doing that! Not sure how to fix that, pajlada tried to explain it to me but I failed
  • walton101: Fyi If you multi touch and move icons outside the box they vanish.
  • zardOz2: @that guy: of course, there has to be a goal line of some type
  • that guy2: @zardOz: Ah, I see. That's a bit diff--WAAAAIITT REMAINING TURNS?????
  • zardOz2: @that guy: I'm gonna use the snowflake to "freeze" the # of turns remaining for 1,2 or 3 turns... The rainbow will transform random sun and moon tiles into colored gems... The overall goal will be to gather x amount of each gem color... No way I'm changing the sun and moon now, that was a horrible ordeal) thanks for the ideas
  • that guy2: I was thinking, instead of having to move the gravity thing far enough around the border, maybe special pieces only activate when you match 4 or more? And maybe the snowflake lets you do 1 'illegal' (still limited to adjacent spots) move before the moves are evaluated? OOH! How about the star lets you move the next piece anywhere on the board? Just some ideas...
  • zardOz2: Wow this lags bad on my phone... How to fix....hmm
  • Chad64: Now time to destroy that black dragon.
  • Chad64: @zardOz: Wow, Awzum!!! You destroyed the ents!!
  • JOELwindows7: Extremly Duper Awesome!
  • Chad64: Other Hobbit Characters :GANNDAAALLLFFFF!!!!
    Gandalf's Waifu :GAAAAAANNNNDAAAAALLLLLLFFFFFF!!!
    Balrog: yay
  • Chad64: I am done being Gandalf. Goodbye world. The game is working now.. You all can defeat the ents...
  • that guy2: AH HAHAHAHAHAHA! now for those special pieces...
  • zardOz2: hmm drop animation isn't working correctly, damn
  • zardOz2: @BobMonkeypimp: thanks, its coming along...
    @Coolblocks749: Gandalf is a pimp
@Chad64: its better now, killed the balrog... on to the Ents
  • Coolblocks749: It needs one of dem no moar moves swithy thing.... CAUSE I CANT KILL GANDALF!!!
  • BobMonkeypimp: Looking awesome as always.
  • Chad64: Then I shall defeat Balrog!! ..jk I cqnt
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: thats what the demon Gandalf says "you shall not pass" to, is called
  • Chad64: @zardOz: For the second I read that, I thought you were talking about that street fighters guy, Balrog. (haha lol) .. Wait, were you?
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: yeah, the Balrog is going to be a problem(falling tiles)
  • Chad64: The hard parts are like "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!". XD
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: well i got about 3/15 of the hard things figured out)
  • Chad64: Still waiting as Gandalf...
  • zardOz2: @that guy: i accept money orders
  • that guy2: @PeterZ: principia lacks a transaction system.
  • Chad64: Almosssttt Dunnnnnn...
  • PeterZ: Just make it work and make it horrible and you'll have candy crush.
  • Chad64: @zardOz: Then I shall wait like Gandalf.
  • JOELwindows7: Extremly Duper Awesome! Idea!
  • zardOz2: @Chad64: oh lol its not a playable anything yet
  • Golden: Nice
  • Chad64: Oh, I got it to work. It randomizes everything every right turn, so I thought I did a shuffle.
  • Chad64: @zardOz: Umm. How?
  • zardOz2: @that guy: yeah i just picked ones that had potential, ill probably make the clovers into extra turns or something..
@Chad64: never played it... and of course android can play)
  • Chad64: And please make it so android can play it. :3
  • Chad64: CANDY CRUUSSSSHSHSHSHEHSHSHSYSYHSHWHSHS
  • that guy2: so different tiles have different rules... maybe snow flakes freeze the tile falling? so many possibilities...
  • zardOz2: @Coolblocks749: i made a simple one already, "zarcade vol 1"
  • Ahmad Khaled: I really missed your intelligent ideas.
  • Coolblocks749: So were making something like candy crush, in principia. LETS DU IT.
  • zardOz2: @LemonHeroman: thinking ill do when you make a sun match ill have it rotate the tile fall direction clockwise and Moon=counterclockwise
  • LemonHeroman: *Huge and very long gasp*
    OMG, YES!
