One more try to get this going...

THIS TIME, though, you can FLY. That's right. Rockets and thrusters are officially in, (but not mandatory) as well as emitters, provided they do not emit land mines, and EVEN LUASCRIPT! With the exception of manipulative functions. (e.g. set_velocity)

Other than that, the sensor rules are a bit wonkier than last time. All impact sensors must be full size, and the number of them you have sort of determines your robot's health. The left example robot has 5 sensors, so each one is routed through a square, multiplied by 1/5, and then they're all added together to be sent to the central lua. a ready-to-use chip is available to do this for you with 4 inputs. If you only use one sensor, you only need to send it though a square and then to the lua.

One last note, any methods for getting OP signals are STRICTLY FOREBODEN. Punishment will be severe. seeeeeeveeeeeeeeerrreeeeeeeeeeeee.

    Just to clarify, forcing objects into each other is perfectly fine.

  • dOUBLEbAD: @that guy: to be honest, I'm not exactly sure, it is still very much a wip. This shooting stuff concept has got me a bit befuddled. Then there is the desire to attack and defend at any angle or direction. I'll post the super early alpha prototype when I get a chance. Best guess, I'll need around 15 frequencies, maybe less but I am not sure about getting it under 10. Maybe...

  • BobMonkeypimp: I think the impact sensor threshold should be 125.3. B.E.A.S.T has 6 impact sensors and is virtually indestructible. I even tested by firing metal balls at the sensor.
  • that guy2: @Chad64: Oh, yeah. I once made a battlebot that expanded to 5 times its height and 3 times its width.

  • that guy2: @Chad64: In the example robot with 5 sensors, the jumper is 0.20, or 1/5. plus, the threshold on all the example sensors is the maximum value already. (250)
    @BobMonkeypimp: The shape extruder is a useful utility for preventing objects from glitching through each other. Overkill actually uses them in her blades.
