Another version of raycast engine prototype using direct world raycasting. Use X slider to trade between resolution and performance.

  • JupiterSky: A button on the screen, not in the rc for mobile, and escape for pc.
  • JupiterSky: And there should be an options screen for performance or sfx.

  • JupiterSky: Nice optimization! I love this new design, and with these new dynamic objects?! Man, there is so much you can add! A shooter would be super cool, even just shooting little cubes would be fun, not even using the pitch of the cam shooters would still be fun!

    If we have to vote for one person who can make principia grate again, here goes my vote
  • mrsimb: And what I like even more, is that you don't need to implement interactive parts of map by yourself, you could just use given ingame objects
  • mrsimb: @HXCTCreations: So you are using real physical objects to define a map? A very practical solution :)
  • HXCTCreations: Next experiment: a full 3D render using voxel grids
  • HXCTCreations: @mrsimb: I used the world:raycast function to the level, rather than using line intersection detector in the previous test, somehow the principia's plain luascript cannot hold too much steps in one tick.
  • mrsimb: Did you optimized the performance? Cuz now it runs fairly smooth on galaxy s5mini exynos
