An Anti-Block Braking System prototype.

How to control:
Slider - Speed control
A - Hold to activate Reverse
F - Hold to brake. Toggle G to activate/deactivate ABS gimmicky mode
G - ABS On/Off/Auto (ABS default AUTO). Auto means tue the ABS activate only if Speed > Required speed to ABS. More Usefull if sudden brake when you don't want flip but also want quickly stop to save a child.
H - Comfort accelerate On/Off. Default On. On means the acceleration starts slowly (due to a filter via Moving average formula) even the slider is solid sudden raise since at the next tick for e.g.: this tick is Slider 0.0, then next tick is Slider 1.0, so the Speed will increase slowly from 0 to 1 eventually. Useful to prevent accelerate flip caused by conventional sudden accelerate that been done by motorcycle beginner. Off means the Slider is always equal to Speed, so the acceleration flip will be present.

Left Grapher - Speed
Mid Lamp - ABS mode is Active or De-Active?
Right Grapher - Reverse

In theory, the ABS work by blink the brake function On and Off every tick.
So we made the sequence like this: based on (I forgot who, maybe that guy?)
-1, 0, 1, 0, and back again.

Basically it appended full zero (Speed and Reverse are 0) in between change shift. It was originally -1, 1, -1, 1, (with all time the Speed is 0.001) and back again. With ABS, the Reverse and Speed is zero in between -1 and 1 (to result sequence on the most top mentioned before), creating blinking brake illusion.

But this System kinda useless since the plane on this Principia is 2D, causing the car only move back and forth (Y coordinate) without ability to turn to different layer (Z coordinate). Maybe useful on bird eye car which benefits X and Y?
I wish the next Apparatus game is 3D, so I can benefit X, Y, and Z.

Edit: I've tested between 2 brake modes. ABS reduces chance to flip the car on sudden brake event compared to no ABS.

New! Switch OFF, ON, or AUTO the ABS. Auto will activate ABS only if you sudden brake from fast enough run. It will off again if the car slow enough again to make stol quicker compared to stay on ABS.

Now! With slow acceleration using Moving Average formula!
No more flip from sudden accelerate! Press toggle H to On/Off Comfort Accelerate mode!
ABS defaulted to Auto.

Moving average formula now has 0 reset. When the slider is 0, the moving average will be reset entirely to 0 it did when braking.
Pressing Reverse and releasing reverse will trigger moving average reset!
Why car still flip on gear change to reverse and unreverse?!

  • JOELwindows7: Obviously, ABS is never a good idea as a parking brake. Because on zero, it will drop its grip so the car slide slowly down which eventually fell to to the river.
  • JOELwindows7: @Chad64: so, if you brake from high speed without ABS, you're gonna front flip.
If you run from 0 without slowly accelerate, i.e. sudden accelerate, you're gonna back flip.
So these both shows how important such feature implemented in real life.
That's because many teenager who were in hype of having a car, tend to accelerate as fast as possible, resulting high risk of accident. Meanwhile, in an event of sudden brake, due to a momentum resulted by the mass of the car and velocity it was from, there is no longer range to stop. Turn is the solution, and the wheel may not be locked. ABS blink the brake so atleast the wheel can rotate a bit to allow traction while slowing down asap. Because Principia is 2 dimensional with layer, a.k.a. 2.5 D maybe, I cannot demonstrate turning. But I found out that ABS reduces flip chance due to lack of virtual friction that let the wheel grip on the ground and become hinge to flip the car.

    Wow, too long speak.
  • JOELwindows7: @HXCTCreations: :O wat de?! I am surprised, my mind blown as megaton as hiroshima and nagasaki!
@Chad64: thx dude. Read the Lua if you wish. It is basically demonstrate ABS, smooth accelerate, and some other capabilities perhaps.
  • Chad64: @Ueuo: Hope you end the trolls and build cool stuff. Don't troll anymore, mrsimb has arised, you risk getting banned. :| Bob has severe leg problems, though he's still here
  • Chad64: Nice. I don't understand what it does or how it works but +1 for you mate
  • Technomancer: @HXCTCreations: *hype*
  • Technomancer: @HXCTCreations: oemji....bang hxct indo.....
  • HXCTCreations: @Technomancer: @JOELwindows7: haha tidak hanya kalian :)
  • Technomancer: @JOELwindows7: baik juga! Tampaknya pemain principia indonesia tinggal kita...
  • JOELwindows7: @Technomancer: baik! Kamu?
  • Technomancer: Waktunya indo keluar xD, gimana kabar?
  • JOELwindows7: Wello!
  • JOELwindows7: @MARRA92: Wow, thanks! Duper Awesome!!!!
  • MARRA92: @JOELwindows7: forgot, here a couple videos i made some months back about tht game
  • disleksiaRools: Cool! This project I did a while ago might interest you.
  • Technomancer: Thx
  • Technomancer: Oh
  • JOELwindows7: @Technomancer: ABS blinks the brake. So the brake pad won't be pro locked. This is useful to prevent tire skid caused by wheel rotation locking.
  • JOELwindows7: @kacperTMPL: ;)
  • kacperTMPL: @JOELwindows7: doesn't matter man
  • Technomancer: Tbh i dont really get what abs does......
  • Technomancer: Oooooohhhh
  • JOELwindows7: @kacperTMPL: sorry for I did not see your level.
  • JOELwindows7: @kacperTMPL: nice anyway, I still like it. DUPER AWESOME!!!
I just made mine but with only Lua as the engine. Like Arduino. This is Prinduino.
  • JOELwindows7: @kacperTMPL: wow, how could I didn't see? I think we should market ourselves when nobody sees in an unlucky time.
Yeah, I see now. It is actual mechanical ABS.
  • JOELwindows7: @Ueuo: bored maybe
  • kacperTMPL: @JOELwindows7: LOL this is older than your grandma and nobody seen that >:(
  • Ueuo: Did bob quit principia? i have not heard from him in a long time.
  • JOELwindows7: @JupiterSky: yeah, it is! Thx!
  • JupiterSky: @JOELwindows7 it is probably first rated because this is tech, real principian tech. The good stuff.
  • JOELwindows7: @Ueuo: This is world. Where anything past. Just pass. Go on with present.
  • JOELwindows7: @MARRA92: GearBlock. Intresting! Thx for your suggestion.
  • Ueuo: I still cant believe the "ueuo troll" thing became a fart in the wind after all of the conflict.
  • MARRA92: @JOELwindows7: there is a game similar to principia in 3d, but atm it have pretty no electronic parts, its called GearBlocks ( well one of the many games but i play that too), its bit different than principia that makes both game not a replace for the other
IT'S BEEN LONG TIME NEVER BEFORE! Perhaps, lesser people play Principia?
    @MARRA92: @JupiterSky: @kacperTMPL: @hosj12: thx so much!!! :DDD
  • JOELwindows7: @MARRA92: thx
  • JOELwindows7: @MARRA92: then this would be your answer. Simply undertsand how does this work, fine tune, deploy, enjoy!
  • MARRA92: awesome! my mechanics were just looking for a good braking system to put on new cars!
  • JOELwindows7: @kacperTMPL: what do you mean?
  • kacperTMPL: lol what about me
  • JOELwindows7: @JupiterSky: anyway, yes! It works like a charm! Isn't it? :D
  • JOELwindows7: @JupiterSky: thx buddy. Have you compared between ABS and no ABS. On my test, ABS reduces brake flip due to the wheel locking. ABS lock then release then so on, alternatively every tick.
  • JupiterSky: @hosj12: press 'G', the light in the middle tells you if it is on or off.
  • JupiterSky: Wow! This works like a charm!
  • hosj12: Cool I can't really tell how well it works but still cool
