RPM limiter concept

1- Receiver gets the signal from velmeter on the engine

2- Muladd adds a value ( ex if adding 0.6, the motor will go from 0 to 0.4 max of its max rpm or so )

3- Floor gets the value from muladd+velmeter velue and when it gets 1,0 input, it sends 1,0 out

4- 1,0 outputted from the FLoor goes to engine CT reverse plugs

Result: when motor arrives to the rpm that triggers the system, the system send reverse to motor stopping it to gain rpm, the value can be altered acting on the muladd added value ( not multiply)

Works with any motor/engine kind that have any rotating part

  • MARRA92: @Toby stahl: I have to go finish painting some tables for my workshop, il be back in a couple hours and see what i can do
  • MARRA92: @Toby stahl: ah okay, is also possible set the engine torque curve like a 2 stroke engine tha will rise strongli only after certain rpms, was testing it tonight. if u have a save where the model was still aligned to grid is very easy fix it

  • Toby stahl: The idea i had with the thrusters was to make em kick em at max rpm to make the engine sound like a turbo
  • MARRA92: @Toby stahl: just took a fast look at it, first issue is the model got rotated of few degrees that make very hard get precise build, the thruster touch the sublayer plank: sublayer planks interfer with rockets, servos and wheels of same layer, both 0-1-2-3 sublayer
  • Toby stahl: It seems as if once my gears start poping in an out the engine can deal with that stress load
  • Toby stahl: I tried setting my rpm limit i cant get it to work do u recommend thrusters like i have ill open devs so u can have a better look
  • MARRA92: @Toby stahl: this also a good stable engine http://principiagame.com/level/25153 but you will see as you fix the cylinders it will immediately work better

  • MARRA92: @Toby stahl: those simil-bozer ones work better cuz the mechanism get pushed from both sides instead of only from one, making also less vibrations and better balance
  • Toby stahl: Awsome thanks MARRA i think u were right these engines do perduce more power
  • MARRA92: for engines that goes over 1250 RPM or so, is required a different disposition for the velmeter.
