Update:
-changed the joint design
-moved entire snake to the 2nd layer(I have my reasons)

Slider controls the snake's direction(forward and backward) and speed(it's best to move at or close full speed).

this can swim but I can't emit enough fluid to get it swimming right so I decided not to show it.

  • Demon666: @golden: if your taking about the layer question i asked then figured it out shortly after i asked that question..... if not then i have no idea what you mean :]
  • Golden: @Demon666: use sub or add
  • Builder2000: Nice!! Try my Supercar, please
  • Demon666: @pajlada @sdac can you give the option to connect a sublayor plank to a servo/DC motor please. it can float over the motor but it refuses to connect to it.
  • Demon666: @zardOz: I don't see now that's being lazy lol
  • zardOz2: I do it this way since Im too lazy to figure out the right way... x=####etc*100; value,decimal=math.modf(x); result=value/100
  • Demon666: @golden: i mean how do you subtract a certain number or characters from a string? like if i have the number 0.1000000002839392 . how to i make it only show 0.10?
  • Golden: Not lile i mean like ;)
  • Golden: @Demon666: more details please, cause lua takes a LOT of details lile zardoz asking me
  • Demon666: @golden: do string manipulation like string.sub not work in lua?
  • Golden: It's on tutorial demo, i make an entertainment lua lol
  • Golden: @Demon666: also want to learn that, i used multiple one on lua script
  • Golden: @Demon666: jammer312 knows ;)
  • Demon666: @golden: do you know javascript or php?
  • Demon666: @golden: i need to do some more testing...... I've always been a hands-on learner lol. thanks alot for your help though. once I finally figure out lua(might take a while) expect a lot of some crazy experimental ideas lol. there are still alot of concepts many players haven't thought of.... even Zard lol.
  • Golden: @Demon666: to do that, example:
    if this:first_run()then
    this:listen_on_fequency(1"this is wifi frequency that have to listen")
    end
    in"this is the value saves like 0.5 send to in and if edit and looked value will output"=this:read_frequency(1"wifi frequency to be received")
    this:write_frequency(1"wifi frequency to be transmitted",in"output send here")
  • Demon666: @golden: will this send 16 different signals to 16 different places?
  • Golden: For wifi input to output:
    if this:first_run()then
    this:listen_on_frequency(1)
    end
    wifi=this:read_frequency(1)
    this:write_frequency(2,wifi)
    this:write_frequency(3,wifi)
    this:write_frequency(4,wifi)
  • Golden: Imput to output code:
    in0=this:read(0)
    this:write(0,in0)
    this:write(1,in0)
    this:write(2,in0)
    this:write(3,in0)
  • Golden: @Demon666: i help you ;)
  • Demon666: everything that could go wrong did
  • Demon666: @zardOz: I remember trying to make a lua script that write 16 different signals based on 8 different sensor inputs. failing horribly at and never trying lua again lmao. it frustrates me.
  • zardOz2: @Jammer312: would be better for a collision tutorial, I havent worked on the problem yet but he's alreay got some levels posted
  • zardOz2: Yes read and write_frequency it's in the object description or see the second lua on the bottom of the Auto-save level
  • Demon666: @golden: @zardOz: also I got another lua question for either of yall. is is possible to accept more then 4 signals using a single lua object? and is it possible to output more then 4 signals at a time? I want to receive about 8 signals and send back about 16 signals.
  • Demon666: @zardOz: yes a tutorial would be nice. lol.
  • Golden: @zardOz: oh and can you make that tutorial so i can study on lua collusion sprite
  • zardOz2: Unniversal collision is a different ballgame however.
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: regarding sprite collision you need to get:bbox on the object and measure its world position -+ xy 1/2bbox values then get the sprite position +- xy 1/2 sprite size... bbox returns an objects xy dimentions.
  • Demon666: @mightyslick: this is actually a little easier then making a walking motion with legs. wheels and rockets are the boring ones lol.
  • mightyslick: I love the motion using something with out wheels and legs. Same reason I did my simple pogo stick build. Great stuff!
  • Demon666: yeah I know that's what happened but I thought I had good counter measures in place to prevent it. guess I was wrong lol.
  • Golden: A tick of timer didnt send to memory module and didnt reset so...
  • Golden: @Demon666: that caused by memery moledule
  • Demon666: @golden: i still don't know exactly what caused it but as long as it's fixed I don't care lol
  • Golden: @Demon666: its ok now ;)
  • Demon666: @golden: golden please tell me if the glitch still happens. if was so rare that I can't tell if I actually fixed it lmfao.
  • BillFruge: This is brilliant !
  • spyninja242001: Coooooooooooooool
  • Demon666: thanks guys lol this thing is gonna be even more crazy once I figure out how make it into a skydragon lmao. it will even breath fire using a modified version of jammer fire code lol.
  • zardOz2: Very cool d
  • Rubicon2: Nice!
  • Wkmz: Damn awesome !
  • Leis: Nice update!!
  • JOELwindows7: Wow, now Awesome! The product has been finished! I bought it!
  • Sir Yakk: Nice build.
  • Demon666: @golden: yeah I know the snake used to wait until the last wave finished to stop moving but when I recreated the controller code I made the joints return to zero immediately. I see now that wasn't the best idea.
  • Golden: Put snake forward for 2 second and you see snake is wierd
  • Demon666: @rich11292000: but since there are 27 joints that move simultaneously its not easy to do.
  • Demon666: @rich11292000: im actually already working on this lmao
  • Golden: IDEA*
  • Golden: @rich11292000: good IDA
  • rich11292000: Sweet. make it stand up and shoot 'lua fire'
