  • ricardito08: Idea: Make a custom game that the topic is SWORD FIGHTING!
  • ricardito08: @sdac: data cable?? Awesome!!
  • JOELwindows7: @Demon666: yay man! Thx bro (oops-say lol)
  • Demon666: @JOELwindows7: yeah i kinda got sidetracked with version 2.0 of this lol. ill build that bugfix into 2.0 when i finish it.
  • JOELwindows7: Awesome!
    But the lightning broken.
  • zardOz2: Math.modf returns 2 numbers the _ is the unneeded decimal... see the orbitinng sprite lua in the circles level, at the bottom I uused that method to round off the ten digit decimal... Ill post something later
  • Demon666: @zardOz: what I'm trying to do is have the lightning lua send the ID's of any lua sensors that are within its range through the frequency 666 and have the sensor lua's listen out to see if the 666 frequency ever displays there own ID and if it does then that sensor lua should auto absorb itself.
  • Demon666: @zardOz: dosen't work it just returns 0
  • Demon666: @zardOz: is the ",_" part of lua x,_ a typo or is it necessary?
  • Demon666: @sdac: ok because what im trying to do right now is have the lua that's controlling the lightning to tell the lua controlling the sensors if its within range of the lightning. currently is there any way of doing this? in this level it only works because the sensor has an ID of 1.
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: yes divide large numbers by 1000000000 and send as a fraction, then on the second lua x,_=math.modf(read(0)*1000000000)
  • sdac: @Demon666: we have a data cable (green) on the todo, will not be in 1.5 but the following minor release. Data cables send packets of custom data, many existing objects will have a data socket added so they can be altered at runtime. For instance, changing the tracked ID of an ID field or communication between lua scripts.
  • Demon666: @zardOz: you mentioned that you liked to use multiple lua's and have them communicate between each other do you have a way to wireless transfer large numbers like "4264673638" without the number getting distorted? principia keeps altering my numbers randomly.
  • ricardito08: @Demon666: LUA *
  • Demon666: @TechZ: Thanks this is gonna be a very nice invisible sensor when I finally finish it lol we'll be able to make damage able vehicles without using a single impact sensor or pressure sensor.
  • JOELwindows7: @Demon666: hehemm... Ok bro! But we will not confirm you as Nether ok!
  • TechZ2124: Awesome ! Nicely done ;)
  • Demon666: @JOELwindows7: yeah i needed to pick a high frequency so that it would never interfere with any other signals and so i picked my fav # lmao
  • JOELwindows7: Lol I found a frequency is triple six. Then the lightning was the satan oh no-h! Lol!
  • Demon666: @JOELwindows7: thanks i do play to make it better tho currently this only detects objects on the first layer eventually it will detect all 3 layers. not as easy as it seems lol
  • JOELwindows7: YeH this is super idea able.
  • zardOz2: Thats pretty easy just use (math.pi*2)*(angle0-1) in the angle position or if you have the 360degree number do ....*(1deg-360deg/360)... in some ways its easier since you only need a start position
  • Demon666: @zardOz: you can use slim sprites and some angle conversion formulas to generate lines but as you know I'm horrible at math so that would require some studying for me lol.
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: yep same thing, no trouble stacking lines on lines or sprites on sprites
  • Demon666: @zardOz: nah i am having the exact same problem sprites are ALWAYS ontop nomatter what order or z_draw i use. so the blending function dosent seem to work for lines are you having the same problem to?
  • zardOz2: Im having trouble drawing line on top of sprites, like the spokes in the circles level Am I missing something?
  • Demon666: bring* down
  • Demon666: through* the
  • Demon666: @zardOz: oh the boxes were just to show that if that specific object passes the the damage field it will being down the health bar of the lua. I never intended for the user to play that level for more then 20 seconds lol.
  • zardOz2: Just the longer you have the level playing more boxes will pile up adding lag
  • Demon666: @zardOz: what you mean by long play?
  • zardOz2: Lag is fine but you should shoot into an absorber for long play
  • Demon666: @ricardito08: lol I'll be able to build faster when I'm not sick.
  • ricardito08: More list experiments!!!
  • Demon666: @zardOz: also does this lag for you?
  • Demon666: @zardOz: i'm looking but you have so many levels that you need your own dedicated search bar lmao.
  • zardOz2: Crazy, lots going on... did you see the anti-robot lua laser I made from jammer/cralents lasers
