Update:Lua Screenshot

v1.1 added some magical floating platforms for something to do whilst admiring the lava and increased the bubbles a bit.
v1.2: added some steam and randomized the gun a bit. Derivitives allowed.
v1.3: Changed the world and made use of the textured pixels and made other minor graphics changes
v1.4: added some 3Dish background pillars, fixed the steam and minor errors
v1.5: moved everything to layer 2 so I could get a better 3D look for the background pillars. Added some lines to flush out the pillars... flowing lava pending...
v1.6: added flowing lava fall, had to lose some of the definition as lag is starting to show.
v1.7: added more little details and a lava river. Improved the 3d ceiling hole.
v2.0: Testing a new system to add more sections of graphics without adding lag... extended adventure...

  • Demon666: i do set the texels in firstr run two lol still lags people.
  • Demon666: yeah i do need start thinking about optimizations. problem is that my devices are to powerful fro me to know if they work or not lol
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: as long as you set the texel pattern in first run you should be ok... you may need to optimize so that it only draws when in view.

  • zardOz2: @sdac: thanks actually I was gonna do something similar to what TZ did but...! Ill check out the sounds, they really help the emersivness factor.
  • sdac: @zardOz: if you find a sound effect that you want in the game, just let us know. You can browse, that's where we have found most of the sound effects. Just make sure the sound license allows commercial use.
  • sdac: you could make this into a survival mini game by adding a few more platforms and deadly lava bubbles emerging or something ;) it looks beautiful

  • Demon666: the steam is nice but I got some suggestions to make it a little better you could set Sprite filtering to 1 so it looks a little less pixelated and you could make the alpha get lower as the pixels reach the top and vanish so it looks less like boxes of particles lol

  • Demon666: I'd try making some kind of transparent sheet out of sprites and making it slowly move over the 3rd layer lol. like those stain glass windows but not colored.... so it looks distorted you can still see through it lol.
  • zardOz2: Trying to comme up with an intense heat wavy haze...maybe ill just shift the camera

  • Demon666: you used the shape extruder didn't you lol. at first I thought it was the fans but then I realized that the platforms were far to solid for it to be fans lol.
