v2: Ghost now choses a random path at every fork without backtracking.
v2.1 :( my test with 4 ghosts was very slooow... pac-man may have to wait for 1.5
v2.2: lag test with four ghosts... running at 2/3 speed over here, improved the code but it's still not good enough.
v2.3: Giant plastic box screenshot thing, auto-absorbs on start for lower memory usage.
v3.0: Player character added, movement only currently.. I decided that pac-man lacked character and made a new guy called "Happy" after my friends dog who just passed;)
v3.1: Happy must now avoid the ghosts! He still can't score yet.
v3.1.1: added a temporary "stay alive as long as possible" score counter for something to addict you with. 3.1.2, made the ghosts start slower and get faster over time.

v4.0: Sfx, edible dots, new scoring system... Score 1 point every 60 bits you stay alive, 1 point for a dot and 25 for clearing the board...
v4.1: High score keeper added, will track even if you close the game. Fixed missing dot. New screenshot.
v4.1.1: +300 score error if you died on the 60th bit fixed...
v4.2: Power-ups, speed boost(yellow arrows) and stun ghosts(red arrows)

  • zardOz2: @Demon666: I think this one will stay mini... it's a pretty solid mini game as is... I have some ideas for a mega version but I think I'm gonna wait for the add_static_sprites feature.

  • Demon666: it's alot easier on pc since I can feel out the buttons but on my phone I just crash into walls and die.
  • zardOz2: @pajlada: @Demon666: here's my stagegies: start in one of the four directions and turn just in front of one of the ghosts, then try to get 2 corners clear right off the start. Dont go after the powerups if tthey are too far away or dangerous. Follow ghosts when possible especially when they go in groups around a corner. The first powerup will pop after 800 bits, the second at 2500 and third at 4200

  • zardOz2: In retrospect I should have waited to add the High score keeper since I may have to modify it and you will lose your scores.
  • zardOz2: @Demon666: :) It's pretty tough, but there are some strategies like following a ghost around corners... should be a bit easier once I get some power-ups balanced
